The Training
Diabetes 10 Point Training Programmes are resources designed for all frontline staff in health and social care. The training was originally developed by Ruth Miller Diabetes Nurse Consultant in 2014, former Clinical Champion, while she was working as Clinical Lead at the Royal Free Hospital in North London.
The original Inpatient programme has been expanded and joined across the health and social care pathway to ensure that all staff in social care understand diabetes.
The programmes are free and available online, providing basic diabetes knowledge. They are:
- Concise and quick
- Designed to be role-relevant
- Translatable across health and social care
- Able to reach staff at-scale
- Empowering staff to deliver good care
All programmes are Royal College of Nursing Accredited and are now available online under the Cambridge Diabetes Education Programme (CDEP) banner. Please visit their website to find out more: Diabetes 10 Point Training
