One month. Only water. Are you up for the challenge?  

This February, we’re challenging you to give up all your favourite drinks and stick to drinking only water while raising vital funds to support people affected by diabetes.  

Commit to swapping tea breaks for water dates, pints of beer for pints of water and fizzy drinks for sparkling water.  

And through your fundraising, you’ll be standing beside everyone affected by diabetes.  

Because you’re not just taking on this challenge for you, you’re doing it for everyone who needs our help and support. All the relatives, friends or loved ones thinking about what they eat and drink to juggle their diabetes day in and day out.

We know that some days will be tough, but we’ll be by your side with every sip, offering support, keeping you motivated and sharing ways to spice up your water!

Is this challenge suitable for everyone?

The challenge may not be suitable for everyone, and we recommend that you discuss the challenge with your healthcare professional before taking part if you are unsure. If you start this challenge and it impacts on your health and wellbeing, we advise that you stop and speak to a healthcare professional. We have other fundraising challenges on our website that may be more suitable for you.

What if I need a sugary drink to manage my diabetes?

There are times when you might need a sugary drink to manage your diabetes. This might be to treat a hypo or to maintain blood sugar levels within your target range, for example during physical activity. It is very important that you have a sugary drink if you need to during the challenge to manage your diabetes and stay safe. 

You also must be over the age of 18 to take part.
