We’re shining a light on the different ways the South West and South Central team can support people in the local area who are affected by diabetes.

We spoke to people from the diabetes community about diabetes and mental health, looking closely at the issue of anxiety. Read on to find out how diabetes has impacted them and what helped.

The number of people diagnosed with diabetes in Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly rose from 33,730 in 2021 to 35,523 in 2022.

About the Diabetes UK event

We’re hosting an event in Treverbyn, mid Cornwall, which will give local people the opportunity to not only meet with the South West and South Central team, but also meet others who are affected by the condition.
