Ben is 10 years old and has been diagnosed Type 1 for eight years. He has had his insulin pump for five years now and loves it. He is very sporty and plays football, cricket, golf and swims three times a week. Ben was top scorer for his football club this season with 32 goals and is also playing for Sussex County Cricket Club in the Under 10s (2014 season).
Josh is seven years old and has been Type 1 for four years. He too has an insulin pump and seems to be following in his big brothers footsteps in every way, winning 'Player of the Season' for his football club this season with more than 40 goals!
Whilst exercise has a huge impact on blood sugar levels, the flexibility that their insulin pumps provides them, means that they achieve excellent control and never allow their diabetes to stop them doing anything.
