Volunteer and gain new skills

“Volunteering gave me experience of working in a team, communicating at various levels, different types of problem-solving, improved my admin and IT skills and ultimately helped me to achieve the career change I wanted." (Steve, Volunteer)

Volunteer with us

""

There’s so much to get out of volunteering with us. Whether you want to build your CV, gain confidence or expand your network, we have something for everyone

Here are just some of the skills you could develop:

  • Confidence building – you will be helped by a trained volunteer manager who will support you and offer you feedback
  • Time management – you might be asked to help us with something with a deadline
  • Public Speaking – some of our roles involve giving talks about diabetes to groups of people
  • Building a network and relationships – we run volunteering networking events where you could meet new people.
