NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme

A commitment from NHS England, Public Health England, and Diabetes UK to deliver a behavioural programme to support people in reducing their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

The programme is intended to reduce the yearly cost of Type 2 diabetes on the NHS by £8.8 billion, which is almost 9% of its budget and causes 20,000 early deaths per year.
