Senior Cardiothoracic Surgical Pharmacist, Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust
Zainab is passionate about improving care for patients with diabetes undergoing cardiac surgery. Zainab led and implemented the Diabetes Pre-operative Optimisation Service at her trust, working closely with the MDT to improve glycaemic control and cardiovascular outcomes in patients with diabetes. As one of our Clinical Champions, her next steps are to build on this to establish an integrated service for this group of patients, improving their care and outcomes pre- and post-operatively.
