We're currently recruiting for the following specialisms to join our Professional Conference Organising Committee:
- General Practitioner (GP)
Being part of our Professional Conference Organising Committee is an excellent opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the pre-eminence of the Diabetes UK Professional Conference. Your role will be to help ensure the creation of a high-quality programme with a broad range of topics and a good mix of scientific and clinical care content. The committee meets six times a year and committee members also mark the abstracts that are submitted to the conference to ensure the highest quality data, evidence and research is presented.
The role includes:
- Identifying and approaching speakers, facilitators and chairs
- Leading on an abstract category, including marking and identifying a team of markers
- Allocating abstracts into the programme along with identified chairs/judges.
- Identifying successes and opportunities for improvement after the conference.
- Support Diabetes UK in the strategic development of the conference and showcasing the organisation’s work.
