Inspire your community to join the fight against diabetes
As a local group you can engage, motivate and encourage the people in your area in a way that we can't. And as our champions of the cause in your community you've got a real opportunity to raise vital funds as well as awareness of diabetes, our services and supporting local people.
We can't continue our work without fundraising and there's so much left to do. See how your support could make a difference (PDF, 291KB), and get in touch to find out all the ways you can fundraise as a local group. You're a vital part of our fight for a world where diabetes can do no harm.
Fundraise your way
Fundraising is a chance to be creative and enjoy yourself
But it also brings together the people we desperately need to reach to end the harm caused by all types of diabetes.
We'll help you organise a fundraiser, your way, to inspire your community to join the fight against diabetes.
See our fundraising pack below, please email fundraising@diabetes.org.uk for more information.
Fundraising Events
Take part in a fundraising event for Diabetes UK
Whether you want to take part yourselves, encourage your community to sign up or volunteer on the day, get involved and soak up the atmosphere.
Our Diabetes UK events include Swim22, the 1 Million Step Challenge and the London Bridges Challenge, plus we've got other events up and down the country you can take part in.
Contact the events team to find out more, events.fundraising@diabetes.org.uk.
Funding diabetes research
The choice is yours
Adopt a project is an opportunity for your local group to directly contribute to the research projects that are important to you.
Groups that raise £1,000 or more can take part in the scheme. Check support our research for more information and contact your local fundraiser to find out how you can get involved.
One day we'll find a cure to diabetes, but without research we can't make that a reality.
