Diabetes UK Support Groups in Waltham Forest

​​There are two Diabetes UK support groups in Waltham Forest.

One that operates online only and is for people with all types of diabetes. You can find their web page here and you can join the group's WhatsApp chat by emailing the group lead Martin Garner at martingarnar@mrgarnar.plus.com.

The other group is for anyone living with or caring for someone with type 2 or pre-diabetes. Sessions are held on the second Tuesday of each month, with the first meeting on 9 April, the second on 14 May and the third on 11 June. It is located at the Firs Medical Centre with regular talks from local health professionals and visitors of interest.

Living with Diabetes Day, November 2023

To mark World Diabetes Day 2023, members of the South East Coast and London team were in Waltham Forest to host a ‘Living with Diabetes Day’ awareness event at Leyton Orient Football Club.
