Meet the team
Jill Steaton - Regional Head,Ā South East Coast and London
I support the whole team and all areas of work across the whole of the South East Coast and London region.
Vicki White -Ā Health System Engagement Manager
I work with the NHS and other organisations to influence and support improvements in diabetes care across the region. I focus on reducing variation in care provision and outcomes, to improve the lives of people living with and at risk of diabetes locally.
Charlotte Burford - Volunteer and Outreach Manager
I am responsible for developing, managing and leading our community outreach, volunteering and youth work across the South East Coast and London Region. I work with external stakeholders, volunteers and engage with local communities to raise awareness and provide support for people living with diabetes.Ā
Clarrissa Morrill - Volunteer Outreach and Partnerships Officer
I am the first point of contact for individual volunteers and local groups. I help to recruit and train new volunteers, together with training and managing our existing volunteers across the region.
Silvia Sullivan - Engaging Communities Officer
I influence engagement and improve healthcare for people at risk of and living with diabetes. I help build stronger relationships across and between communities by understanding community perceptions of diabetes. I aim to tackle stigmaĀ and help build a grassroots movement improving lives and signpost Black, South Asian and other minority communities towards diabetes prevention, management and care.
Eibhlin Jones - Youth Coordinator
I oversee the delivery of the Together Type 1 youth project for the region. I work with Rosie, our youth worker. I will recruit and support a group of young people to deliver peer support. I'll also co-produce a programme of virtual and in-person events, engage with healthcare professionals and design social media content to support and positively impact the health and wellbeing of other young people with type 1 diabetes.
Rosie Newton - Youth Worker
I work within the national Together Type 1 project where we will be supporting young people from the ages of 11-25 with type 1 diabetes. My job is to run and develop the youth programme, support our young leader volunteers, and provide a safe space for young people.Ā
Alex Melham - Regional FundraiserĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
I work closely with our volunteering team to support all our volunteers, specifically roles that include fundraising. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during my time here.Ā
Vacant - Regional Support Officer
The support officer helps the team with day-to-day administration tasks and is the first point of contact for external inquiries into the team via email and telephone. The RSO also helps the team plan and deliver events, help to source volunteers for these events, assist with financial processes and complete risk assessments.
