Help us take volunteering to a new level
Are you interested in helping your local community? You can help us make a difference to the lives of the almost 340,000 people living with diabetes in Scotland
Our volunteers are at the heart of Diabetes Scotland. Without this support, we could not carry out our vital work in research, education and support.
Our volunteers bring skills, experience, energy, enthusiasm and commitment to Diabetes UK. Volunteering can also make a difference in your life too, letting you meet new people, learn new skills and have fun!
We are recruiting a wide range of volunteers to support our activities to help people living with diabetes in Scotland.
We have several different types of volunteer roles available to suit your level of experience and the time commitment you can offer, while making the best use of your skills.

Volunteering opportunities in Scotland
Diabetes Scotland have teamed up with the SPFL Trust who run a programme called Football Fans In Training. Players taking part are at a greater risk of type 2 diabetes and our volunteers give them advice and information why they need to take action. Full training and support will be provided and travel expenses will be paid.
We also provide volunteering leadership opportunities for 16-25 year olds with type 1 diabetes across Scotland in our Together Type 1 programme. These opportunities are great way to learn new skills, meet new people and have fun.
