November 2016
We know we are facing a crisis. We know that every two minutes someone learns they have diabetes and by 2025 it’s estimated that it will affect 5 million people in the UK. Without your commitment we would not be able to raise awareness, raise vital funds, lobby for change, spread our message and provide support across the communities.
We want to improve our relationship with you and ensure you receive the right support at the right time. We want to offer new and exciting ways to get involved. We want you to ultimately love volunteering for Diabetes UK. We also want to grow our volunteering partnerships and have both a quality and balanced approach to supporting and developing our groups and individual volunteers.
Therefore, we are consulting with the local staff team to work differently. This will not involve making any cuts but will require a different structure, staff roles and functions.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss this please contact the Central Volunteering Team onvolunteering@diabetes.org.uk
