Why run for Diabetes UK?

Barbara smiling at the camera.

"Diabetes has always been a way of life for me and as a result I’m very passionate about it. I work in diabetes as my job which I love, helping those who have the condition live a happier and healthier life is a privilege. I would like to promote the importance of Diabetes UK and the invaluable resource it provides for both families and professionals."

Barbara, who's daughter was diagnosed with diabetes when she was just 11, ran the Great Manchester Run because she wanted to promote the importance of Diabetes UK and the support it provides to families and professionals. You can read more about their story just here.
