Leading others: Creating psychological safety in clinical teams
Join Professor Guy Lubitsh, internationally renowned leadership expert and psychologist, Dr Dita Aswani, Dr Jason Cheung, and Diabetes UK Leadership Community team for an engaging two-part workshop series exploring the foundations of effective healthcare leadership. Drawing from Professor Lubitsh's extensive experience with the NHS and global healthcare organizations, and the collaborative works our charity's Leadership Community has built over the years, these interactive sessions will focus on building trusted connections with others, improving influencing skills, as well as increasing personal impact and how to build resilient teams in today's challenging healthcare environment. Through evidence-based approaches and practical tools, participants will gain new leadership tools, explore practical frameworks and work, with particular emphasis on creating psychological safety and fostering meaningful connections in clinical settings. Whether you're an experienced clinical leader or new to leadership roles, these sessions will provide valuable insights and practical strategies for enhancing both personal effectiveness and team performance. This afternoon's workshop will explore the practical challenges in enhancing workplace resilience, job satisfaction, inclusiveness, and protection from burnout for individuals and clinical teams. In creating compassionate leadership within our profession, we facilitate the same care culture for those living with diabetes - who often desperately required being understood and being listen to.
