Due to supply disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Medtronic are not able to meet full demand for their MiniMed Mio Advance infusion sets. They have decided to supply all current MiniMed Mio Advance infusion users with MiniMed Mio infusion sets to use instead until full supply of the Advance infusions sets has resumed.
What does this mean for people with diabetes?
Medtronic are working with diabetes healthcare teams to facilitate the transition for all people who use MiniMed Mio Advance infusion sets to MiniMed Mio infusion sets.
How long will this last?
Medtronic have suggested that they intend to return to full supply of Medtronic MiniMed Mio Advance infusion by the end of 2021.
