Diabetes UK has recognised the incredible volunteers from across the region who work every single day to support people living with diabetes.
These amazing supporters received inspire awards to recognise the variety and depth of vital support they offer in their communities.
A wide range of activities from fundraising and running peer support groups to event management and campaigning are carried out daily.

The Inspire Awards celebrate Diabetes UK’s dedicated volunteers who campaign to improve the quality of care available to people with diabetes; fundraise for pioneering research; raise awareness to stem the rising tide of diabetes; and provide vital peer support and connection to others living with all types of diabetes within their local communities.
This year our Inspire Awards ceremony took place online, for the first time, due to Covid-19.
