This week we are delighted to launch our Befriender Scheme funded by the National Lottery Fund.
Staying connected and supporting people living with diabetes during these uncertain times is more important than ever. With people being asked to stay at home due to the Covid-19, isolation and loneliness is a worry to most people. But for those living with diabetes, it also brings additional worries, stresses and feeling lonely.
The introduction of the Northern Ireland Befriender service will be able to offer a friendly conversation with someone who knows what it's like to live with diabetes. The service will offer a friendly listening ear and signpost to local services or support.
